The 65,000 SF Axtell Community School renovation, under strict scheduling restraints, was completed in one summer. The project included a major remodel of all elementary and secondary classrooms, kitchen and commons area.
A new electrical and HVAC system, new fire sprinkler system, and new data and communication systems were included in the renovations, as well as a new practice gymnasium, locker rooms, and wrestling mezzanine. New structure material included pre-engineered building, pre-cast concrete wall panels with thin brick veneer on the exterior, and hollow core pre-cast and masonry walls. Architectural upgrades were also made with new ceilings, flooring and painting to coincide with the MEP upgrades.
