The Beattie Elementary School remodel was unique in that on one of the main corridors the roof was detached and raised to allow for natural day lighting. This project, like many of the K-12 projects that we have constructed and reconstructed incorpated a geothermal system as an upgrade to the existing building.
The project was a remodel of 53,000 SF of Beattie elementary school. The remodel consisted of classrooms, new HVAC system, new mechanical rooms (5,000 SF), and a new elevator. The classroom heaters were taken out and replaced with casework and a geothermal system was installed. Other notable scopes of work included remodeled restrooms, new windows throughout the entire building, new paint and ceiling tiles in the media room.
