Bryan Community Focus Program (Formerly Hawthorne Elementary School)
Bryan Community Focus Program (Formerly Hawthorne Elementary School)
The new 2,500 SF addition and 55,000 SF remodel to the existing elementary school will affect 16 classrooms, a media center, a multipurpose room, and a special education resource room. The majority of this project included an indoor air quality remodel, 115 geothermal wells, and new parking lot. There were extensive upgrades made to the exterior and corridor finishes, which included: masonry; and precast and glazed tile. One unique aspect of this project was the low ceilings throughout the building, which created challenges for the MEP contractors. Through this project, this educational facility will now house the Bryan Community School - a focus program that is funded through Lincoln Public Schools.
