The Cavett Elementary expansion project was a part of the $250 million dollar bond issue that was passed by voters in 2006. Like many of the other 27 construction projects associated with this bond issue, Cavett Elementary remained in full-operation during the renovation and addition.
The Cavett Elementary addition was a part of a major Lincoln Public Schools renovation project that included four elementary schools. There were approximately 29,000 SF added to the existing facility and added classrooms. Cavett Elementary remained in full operation during the construction. The project also included the addition of a geothermal well system.
