November 23, 2009, marked a momentous day for Community Medical Center (CMC) and its commitment and ability to continue serving the citizens of Fall City and surrounding communities as it opened the doors to a new multi million dollar medical facility. Originally founded in 1918, Community Medical Center was the fifth hospital in Nebraska to receive accreditation from the American Hospital Association.
This replacement hospital has 24 private in-patient rooms; two labor and delivery rooms; emergency department with two trauma and three exam rooms; surgery center with two operating rooms, two post anesthesia care units, and six pre-operating rooms; radiology department; specialty clinic with ten exam rooms, two procedure rooms, x-ray room; family medicine clinic; and full kitchen and food service. The facility also has a 750KW backup generator.
