In 1996, Sampson Construction was awarded construction of the new Lux and Scott Middle Schools on the competitive bid market.  The structures are constructed of a masonry façade with steel stud backup.  Besides three pod areas of classrooms, each school includes a gymnasium, cafeteria, industrial technology department,  and media center.  In December 2008, Sampson Construction completed a 10,800 SF addition to each school simultaneously.  Each project location included a classroom and corridor addition, roof top units at each three pod areas, and brick restoration at each school.
