Saunders County Law Enforcement Center
Saunders County Law Enforcement Center
The new Saunders County Law Enforcement Center is 63,000 SF and houses 155 inmates in all classifications up to maximum security. The facility replaces a structure that was built in 1930 that could only house 16 inmates. The new jail includes pod housing as well as dormitory style rooms, detoxification cells, and suicide watch cells. The facility incorporated the newest technology such as digital scanner and on-site terminal for automated fingerprinting, cameras positioned in every cell block that can be viewed at the master control room, and video visitation areas.
