State Farm Insurance Company has partnered with Sampson Construction on multiple projects within the last 25 years. These projects include the construction of their original main building and south building addition, as well as various renovations within this same time frame.
Sampson Construction completed the original State Farm office building in 1987 and in 2000, completed a two-story building addition that accommodates 135,000 SF of offices, dining, kitchen space. The building's main entrance is located at one end of a large two-story wing that houses almost all open office space over 70,000 SF of access flooring. The lobby is open and spacious with great views east and west. A dining area with buffet lines for subcontracted food service is housed in the lower northeast corner with patio access. Most of the mechanical equipment and restrooms are placed in core locations on each floor for ease of accessibility. The State Farm project consisted of shallow foundations, structural steel with brick veneer and aluminum windows to comprise the shell. Steel trellis on the southern side of the structure will be used to incorporate future expansion.
