On January 26, 2012, the Sampson team attended the ribbon cutting ceremony that debuted the new Assurity Life Insurance corporate office building located in Lincoln’s Antelope Valley. The new five-story 175,000 SF insurance office provides bright colors, lots of natural sunlight, cafeteria, and native grasses on the roof space. Sampson Construction was approved for the $3 million construction bid for the Emerson Elementary School project in Kearney, Nebraska. The project will include a 2,400 SF kitchen and cafeteria expansion and many mechanical and electrical upgrades. The campus expansion will begin next spring with the majority of the work to be constructed over the summer break.

In August 2011, the (USGBC) U.S. Green Building Council approved the Base Civil Engineer Administrative Facility - Ellsworth Air Force Base’s LEED Silver Certification. On November 18, 2011 in Curtis, Nebraska, officials from University of Nebraska’s College of Technical Agriculture (NCTA) and Sampson Construction celebrated the completion of the new Nebraska Agriculture Industry Education Center on the NCTA campus. The project includes a new 27,000 SF Educational Building, along with a 11,000 SF addition and 9,000 SF renovation to the VetTech Building.

On October 18, 2011, a ground breaking ceremony was held for a new state-of-the-art childhood development center in Lincoln. Sampson Construction will serve as Construction Manager for the 32,000 SF project and the connection between the new facility and existing Belmont Elementary School.

On October 5, 2011, the Sampson Safety department recognized the Gothenburg Memorial Hospital jobsite for achieving the highest safety rating for the month of August. In recognition a barbeque lunch was cooked onsite by the Safety team for the crew. Construction for this hospital addition is expected to reach completion early next year.
