MPCC - East Campus Renovation

Sampson Construction has partnered with Mid-Plains Community College (MPCC) for over a decade on a variety of projects, across multiple campuses. Most recently, our team worked with MPCC to introduce a new landmark project to MPCC students. The Elks Lodge was originally built in 1922, a cherished location for events in the McCook community for many decades. The 30,000 SF iconic building was tranformed into a cutting-edge education and research space on MPCC’s East campus. 

Previously landlocked on its existing campus, this strategic renovation enables MPCC to expand student learning eastward, creating the new East Campus. This exciting development provides dedicated educational spaces for nursing classrooms and simulation labs, EMS training areas, community training, education, and business space, and distance learning classrooms. The renovation was completed while the MPCC campus was occupied and included demolition prior to the start of the project.
