NDCS RTC Phase Three- 96 Bed Addition

Our team has completed several expansion projects for the Nebraska Department of Correctional Services Reception and Treatment Center. The most recent included a 51,742 SF addition which added 96 beds to the center. 

The project includes the construction of a 32 bed male Geriatric Housing Unit (North) Addition, a 32 bed male Transitional Mental Housing Unit (South) Addition, a 32 bed male Cognitively Impaired Housing Unit (South) Addition and support areas for the Nebraska Department of Corrections (32,927 SF). 

The beds will be designated for mental health, older incarcerated individuals, or other special need populations.  There are some support spaces for individuals living in these populations which include a heated courtyard, physical therapy/ exam room, multi-purpose rooms, staff areas, and outdoor recreation areas.  The south additions each include a Blue Room which is use to help calm escalated inmates.
