Omaha, Neb: Sampson Construction has been a leader in commercial construction since 1952. It has seen great success in the last 17 years in its Omaha office, and to continue growing it decided it was time to open a new space. Sampson Construction will host its grand opening and ribbon-cutting today Wednesday, November 13th at 4:00 pm. The office is located at 10982 Cumberland Dr, Papillion, NE 68046.
“The growth of the Omaha office has required Sampson to rethink the future of the company in Omaha,” said John Sampson, President. “Discussions of a new space began a few years ago. A number of sites were visited before we landed on the site in Papillion.”
The new office is a unique site that consists of two stories, each being 7,500 square feet. The upper level is a finished space that contains 13 offices with open collaboration space for 12 people. There are also three conference spaces, a kitchen and an overhead glass door that opens onto an exterior deck. While the lower level is currently unfinished, it will eventually be able to house 12 offices, a fitness room and restrooms with showers.
The design of the office took about one year to build with the Sampson team and used the design-build delivery method for the building. The design concept was to articulate a dock/warehouse feel while expressing various elements of the construction process.
“We used reclaimed wood on two areas on either end of the first floor that house utilitarian functions and wood from the floor of boxcars as a design wall on the entry and stair treads to the lower level,” said Tim Wurtele, Project Manager.
Over the past two years, the company has added 50+ employees across its entire footprint and now employs nearly 350 people. The new office will help Sampson Construction continue to grow and recruit top talent.
