Ribbon Cutting for the East Stadium Expansion

On August 22, 2013, a ribbon cutting was held on the front steps of the newly expanded Memorial Stadium. The East Stadium added 6,000 more seats, 38 suites, a new club level, and two spaces for the UNL Center for Brain, Biology and Behavior and Nebraska Athletic Performance Laboratory (Thayer Athletic Research Lab). Along with this expansion Sampson Construction was also the construction manager for the Tom and Nancy Osborne Athletic Complex and Howard and Rhonda Hawks Championship Center completed in 2006 and the West Stadium Expansion completed in 1999.
