CELEBRATING WOMEN IN CONSTRUCTION WEEK

We were proud to celebrate Women in Construction Week by connecting, learning, and giving back across the communities we serve.

Our week began with a tour of the Southside Terrace Apartments project in South Omaha, where we welcomed industry peers to see the progress firsthand. Thank you to Stephens & Smith Construction for helping lead the tour and to the National Association of Women in Construction Greater Omaha Chapter #116 for coordinating a great kickoff event. It was an inspiring reminder of the value of collaboration and shared learning.

Continuing the celebration, members of our team visited Aspen Creek Elementary in Gretna Public Schools, spending time reading with students and sparking curiosity about the construction industry. Opportunities like this are especially meaningful as we help introduce the next generation to the many paths within our field. We appreciate NAWIC Greater Omaha Chapter #116 for organizing a day centered on student engagement and community connection.

We wrapped up the week with a tour of the new Clyde Malone Community Center in Lincoln. During our visit, John Goodwin and Shannon Martin-Roebuck shared the center’s mission to support families and combat multi-generational poverty, along with a vision rooted in unity and opportunity. Seeing the impact this space will have on the community was a powerful way to close out the week.

Women in Construction Week is a celebration of the people, partnerships, and purpose that drive our industry forward. We’re grateful for the opportunity to learn together, support one another, and build projects that create lasting impact.
