Aurora Aquatic Facility

The Aurora community was excited about the many amenities offered at the new aquatic center. The aquatic center was built adjacent to the old pool, which was razed right after the 2013 summer season ended. The facility has a capacity of 500 people and provides additional features the former pool didn't have. There are two intertwining slides, zero-depth entry, cascading water and fountains in the shallow end as well as a regulation diving board. The pool contains six racing lanes and an area for swimming and aerobic classes. The perimeter of the pool is furnished with umbrellas, shade screens and a space for sunbathing.

Of the two buildings, one houses the mechanical equipment and maintenance tools. The bathhouse has an entrance check-in, locker rooms with showers and concessions.  Each of the buildings are constructed of split-faced CMU with wood trusses and a standing seam metal roof.
