Bryan Health - 5055 Building

Sampson Construction was selected as Construction Manager for the 5055 Building - a new Ambulatory Surgery Center/Medical Office Building on the Bryan Health East Campus. The 105,800 SF building devotes approximately 17,000 SF of the first floor to the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC), which was completed December 2017. The ASC entrance is on the north, with a grade level access at first level. 

The Medical Office Building is accessed from the east, with a grade level access at the second level. Floors two, three and four are currently shell space within the MOB, with some public restrooms. The structure of the building is a steel frame (beams and columns) with hollow core precast concrete floor slabs with a three inch topping. Mechanical equipment rooms are located on the first level adjacent to the ASC and in the fifth floor penthouse.

A skywalk connects the 5055 Building to the link between Bryan Medical Plaza and the Zone B parking structure. The project also included a new access drive, detention area for storm water and a new parking lot to the north and east of the building, to accommodate 370 vehicles.
