Bryan Cancer Center

Bryan Health is adding a $64 million Cancer Center facility to their widespread impact on healthcare in Lincoln, Nebraska. John Sampson, Sampson Construction’s President, donated 30 acres for the facility located in south Lincoln. More than 9,000 people receive cancer treatment yearly in Lancaster, Saline, Gage, and Seward counties; the new cancer center will provide comprehensive treatment following protocols instituted by the National Cancer Institute which will allow patients to receive care close to home. The 130,000 SF facility will provide clinical trials, new treatment options and planning, a rehabilitation and therapy gym, options for genetic assessment and counseling, and a specialty pharmacy. By having this Cancer Center in Lincoln, patients will be provided with nurse navigators to guide care, palliative care services to help ease transitions and discomforts, wig fitting and styling, breast prosthesis services, cancer-sensitive apparel, social workers, and care monitoring close to home. Put simply, the addition of the Cancer Center will provide more coordinated, convenient, and personalized care and is anticipated to be complete end of 2023.
