Harvest Hills Elementary School

Gretna, Nebraska’s seventh elementary school was designed to meet the growing city’s needs, with an up-to-date structure of masonry and metal, current digital technology access, and the most modern amenities. A complete computer lab and media center were part of the building design from the earliest stages. This single-story school is designed for students from pre-kindergarten through fifth grade, and includes a full gymnasium, platform stage, complete kitchen and commons area, and storm shelter.

As a new structure in a new community development, this school’s construction was part of a complete infrastructure package. The design was included in community-wide layout for roads and public utilities. Sampson participated in design meetings with the City, County, Developer, and utility providers to coordinate all connections, to bring all needed resources into a previously undeveloped area. The finished school has enough classrooms, administrative resources, and a nurse and a counselor, to serve 350 students and their families.

Sampson Construction has always provided consistent project leadership and has been able to navigate the management of subcontractors very effectively and complete our projects within the required timeframe and budget parameters. I feel that the success of the project was a result of the commitment and leadership that the Sampson Construction team provided throughout the course of the construction process.
