Lincoln Journal Star Press and Disribution Facility

Sampson Construction completed a brand new press and distribution facility for the Lincoln Journal Star in March of 2000. This 106,000 SF facility resides on one city block in downtown Lincoln and features a printing press tower standing 66 feet tall (four-stories tall), newsprint packaging and newsprint storage warehouses and shower rooms. 750 tons of steel material was used in the construction of this facility. A multitude of windows were used for aesthetics and for the practical purposes of verifying print colors during production.
