Metropolitan Community College Automotive Facility

As cars become more modern and computer-assisted, it requires mechanic’s to hone more technological and mechnical skills. Our team was selected to construct a 103,956 SF state-of-the-art automotive facility for Metropolitan Community College’s South Campus, the latest development in the college’s building history over the past two years. This new building placed all the programs in one location and increased space.

The two-story facility sits on the northwest edge of the campus. The first floor consists of 30 hands on lab environments, making up most of the buildings footprint. Conventional classrooms, break areas, faculty and administrative offices and a large showroom will sit on the second floor. The project also includes an area dedicated to a new Toyota T-TEN master mechanic training program.

The two floors of the building are connected by ample amounts of interior glass, allowing visitors of the facility to see the entire building from the second floor without disturbing classes while maintaining a safe environment.
