University of Nebraska - Lincoln Husker Village

The Husker Village, often referred to on campus as “the village,” offers the University of Nebraska-Lincoln students apartment style, on-campus living. This facility was designed for single, graduate students who are ready for a more independent living environment, but still want the convenience of being on campus. Each unit includes a full kitchen and living area. Unique design elements of this project include a storage room and a large entryway with a coat closet.

This complex includes two buildings with one central mechanical heat exchange serving a closed loop heat pump system. The jobsite was very restrictive with three adjacent resident halls. The jobsite was also in an area of high pedestrian traffic. High power electrical lines on two sides of the site were an obstacle as the structures were erected.
