Walthill School

Sampson Construction was selected as the Construction Manager for the Walthill Public School project. This consisted of a gymnasium addition and two-story addition for commons, concessions, restrooms and locker rooms totaling approximately 36,400 SF.  

Our team worked with Foundation Support Systems/Thrasher, using a few methods of shoring to protect the existing building. Materials used for the structure of the addition were structural steel and precast concrete walls with some load-bearing masonry.  

The project yielded a gymnasium with a 94-foot court, two large locker rooms, a commons/entry, concessions, restrooms and bleacher seating for 1,200+. Site work included site demolition, grading, site utilities and asphalt parking lots with all construction completed August 2017.
