Adams Youth Services Center Replacement

This 33,000 SF youth services center was build to meet LEED Gold certification requirements. There are two separate buildings that were included in this project 1) The support/administration building and 2) Youth up to age 18 years housing facility. The main building consists of an indoor gymnasium, full service kitchen, laundry, visitation area, medical, staff offices, control room, education including four classrooms and intake/processing. The housing building consists of 4 pods with 9 cells and a day room, along with staff offices. Special security systems included visual screening devices, intercoms, stress call buttons, conduit through-out building, door hardware, fully grouted door frames, steel plate ceilings in cells, and a secure mechanical mezzanine. The exterior envelope consists of EIFS, pre-cast sills, metal panels, brick veneer and CMU. The site consists of security perimeter fencing and sally ports, recreation yard with exterior basketball court and pavilion.
