DuTeau Subaru Building Expansion

Duteau’s expanded facilities were designed to combine Subaru corporate standards with local business requirements. The main sales office has a glass storefront face to maximize natural light in customer-facing areas. The combined office spaces have received new doors, windows, paint, and carpet, including stone veneer finishes on the interior masonry walls. The customer service area has sound-dampening felt overhead finish in Subaru corporate colors to maintain customer comfort.

An optimized new car receiving area improves vehicle handling and customer convenience. Innovative sliding glass doors give the space a unique, inviting look, and radiant-heat floors with epoxy surfaces support continuous indoor traffic. An updated washing system connects to unobtrusive trench drains. This public-facing area transitions into the service shop, featuring updated hydraulic lifts and pneumatic tool connections to provide top-quality vehicle maintenance and repair.

The building’s new showroom space and expanded service capacities are designed to resemble the original building to the extent possible. Sampson’s team tied new steel-frame structure into the existing building and added new facing to eliminate visible seams. Together, the new structure and the existing, refurbished building make a continuous whole that reflects DuTeau’s seamless business ethic and the good Subaru name.
